ProfHilo® – Advanced Skin Bio-Remodelling
How it works
Profhilo® is a highly regarded injectable treatment developed in Italy and used worldwide for skin bio-remodelling. It targets visible signs of ageing by stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin while delivering deep dermal hydration.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Profhilo® does not add volume. Instead, it enhances skin quality, tone, and elasticity through a regenerative process.
As we age, collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid—the three key components of skin structure and hydration—gradually decline. Profhilo® contains a unique formulation of stabilised high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, delivered through a series of precise injections into the superficial subcutaneous tissue.
Once dispersed, Profhilo® integrates into the skin and triggers a biological response that stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. The result is gradual tissue regeneration, improved skin firmness, and enhanced hydration.
Profhilo® is ideal for individuals experiencing:
Mild to moderate skin laxity
Dull, dehydrated, or crepey skin
Early signs of ageing and volume loss
Uneven skin tone or texture

The recommended Profhilo® treatment begins with an initial course of two sessions, spaced four weeks apart. To maintain optimal results, follow-up treatments are advised every 6 to 9 months. Each session takes approximately 30 minutes and involves minimal to no downtime, allowing you to resume your daily activities almost immediately. Results typically last between 6 and 12 months, depending on individual factors such as age, skin condition, and lifestyle.
Who should not have Profhilo®
Those previously allergic to hyaluronan
Anaphylaxis reaction to bee stings
Pregnant or breast-feeding
Those who have permanent fillers or facial implants
Unwell with a cold, sinusitis or facial infection
Prior keloid scarring
Prior or planned dental treatment within a month of treatment
Flying international for 1 week post treatment
It is best avoided if you have had a recent vaccination.
Caution is needed in those with autoimmune disorders.
You can use Profhilo® with other cosmetic treatments, but we advise no botulinum toxin for two weeks prior. No microdermabrasion, chemical peel, IPL: 1–2 weeks pre or post treatment. Avoid fractional resurfacing 4 weeks pre and post Profhilo® treatment.

Before your Profhilo® treatment, you’ll have a thorough consultation to ensure the procedure is safe and tailored to your needs. During this time, we’ll review your medical history and discuss any health concerns to confirm your suitability.
We will also explore your aesthetic goals—whether you're looking to restore volume, smooth fine lines, or enhance your natural features. Based on this and a detailed facial assessment, we’ll create a personalised treatment plan.
How to Prepare: Minimise Bruising
To reduce the chance of bruising or bleeding, we recommend avoiding certain medications and supplements that thin your blood, including aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Nurofen), fish oil and other omega-3 supplements, and vitamin E supplements. Please stop taking these about one week before your appointment. Important: Always consult your doctor before stopping any prescribed medication or supplement. -
After your Profhilo treatment, it is normal to experience some temporary side effects. Common reactions may include redness, tenderness, and small localized bumps at the injection sites for up to 48 hours, along with mild swelling or bruising that can last up to a week.
For the first 24 hours after treatment, keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water to help the hyaluronic acid work effectively. Use gentle skin care products—preferably soothing, non-active formulations. Applying a cold compress gently can help reduce swelling and discomfort.

Improvements in skin hydration and radiance can often be noticed as early as the next day. However, optimal and longer-lasting results typically develop over the course of three months, as collagen and elastin production increases.
To maintain these results, we recommend top-up or maintenance sessions every 6 to 9 months, depending on your skin and the treatment performed. Individual outcomes may vary.

Although serious complications are rare, injectable treatments do carry some risks. Possible side effects and complications include:
Mild bruising, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site
Slight asymmetry or uneven results
Small lumps or nodules under the skin
Localised skin infection
Breakouts resembling acne
Redness, itching, or irritation
Tissue damage or, in rare cases, scarring
Vascular compromise, which can lead to skin blanching, tissue necrosis, or—very rarely—vision issues, including blindness
These risks are manageable if addressed promptly. Our team is extensively trained to recognise and treat any complications. If you experience severe pain, throbbing, whitening of the skin, or graze-like marks around the treated area, contact us immediately.
